Vandal Savage Lurks

The upcoming CW spin-off of a spin-off, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, has found its villain.

Danish actor Casper Crump – great name! – has landed the plum role of Vandal Savage on the series, which is expected to debut come midseason time.

Vandal Savage is an immortal supervillain who has spent the past 6,000 years laying on the La Mer moving like a disease through history, always whispering bad somethings in the ears of despots and dictators, all in the name of dominating the game and the world.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will feature a disparate band of heroes and villains – including, from Arrow, Brandon Routh’s Ray Palmer/The Atom and Caity Lotz’s late Sara Lance/The Canary-turned-White Canary; Victor Garber’s Dr. Martin Stein/Firestorm and Wentworth Miller’s Leonard Snart/Captain Cold, from The Flash; and newcomer Hawkman, played by German stud Falk Hentschel – brought together by Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) to defeat Vandal Savage.
